What Is Gratulant?
Gratulant is a celebration reminder app built for people who value meaningful connections — especially in the Czech and Slovak world, where namedays are just as important as birthdays. The app imports your iOS Contacts, automatically matches names to the Czech and Slovak nameday calendars, and makes sure you never miss a celebration again.
What You Get on Day One
Gratulant launches with a full feature set: automatic contact import, complete Czech and Slovak nameday calendars with intelligent nickname matching, smart notifications at 7:30 AM and 8:00 PM, multiple occasion types (birthdays, namedays, anniversaries, graduations, memorials), greeting templates in three languages, gamification with six tiers and achievements, home screen and lock screen widgets, and favorites with priority notifications.
Free to Use, Premium to Unlock More
The free tier is a fully functional celebration tracker — contact import, nameday matching, daily notifications, basic templates, and gamification with no trial countdown. Premium unlocks advance notifications (up to 30 days), unlimited favorites and groups, custom templates, full stats dashboard, achievement gallery, iCloud sync, and extended themes. Plans start at 49 CZK/month, 349 CZK/year, or 399 CZK lifetime.

Gratulant runs on iPhone (iOS 18+), iPad (iPadOS 18+), and Mac (macOS 15+ with Apple Silicon). One download covers all your devices. The app is localized in 9 languages: Czech, Slovak, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Hungarian, and Greek.
Why We Built This
Most reminder apps treat birthdays as an afterthought — and namedays don't exist in the English-speaking app world. We built Gratulant because Czech and Slovak culture deserves an app that understands it. An app that knows 'Terezka' is really 'Tereza.' That sends a respectful notification for a memorial date instead of cheerful confetti.
